Nestled at 4156 Del Webb Dr in the scenic Massanutten, VA, Campfire Grill has quickly become a go-to destination for food enthusiasts seeking a cozy yet vibrant dining experience. Known for its inviting atmosphere, this establishment seamlessly blends the rustic warmth of a fireside gathering with the culinary finesse that excites the palate.
Culinary excellence is a hallmark of Campfire Grill, as reflected in the rave reviews from satisfied customers. Scharese Thomas enthusiastically shares, "This place is awesome from food, drinks, dessert, and service." It's clear that every dish is crafted with care and attention to detail, making each visit memorable.
One standout dish that has garnered particular acclaim is the catfish. While Madaca 99 noted that it had a crunchier texture than expected for a deep South specialty, it was still described as "excellent and tasty." Paired with perfectly seasoned smashed potatoes and green beans, the meal exemplified balance and flavor. For those with a sweet tooth, the Flaming Campfire dessert — a chocolate mousse over graham cracker marshmallow ice cream, flambéed to perfection — left a lasting impression, proving to be the pièce de résistance of the dining experience.
The service at Campfire Grill complements the fine cuisine. With staff like Geneva E. receiving accolades for their hospitality, diners can expect attentive and knowledgeable service to enhance their meal. Nicole Chartier also praised her server, who recommended the pot pie — a dish described as "the best I've ever had." The generous portions and inviting ambiance make for an experience that's hard to beat.
However, it's worth noting that although some drinks may lean towards the pricier side, customers like Tay have validated the quality and creativity behind each cocktail. Each sip is an adventure, adding to the allure of dining here. With scrumptious offerings including ribeye steak cooked to perfection and creamy pasta dishes, every meal feels like a celebration of flavors.
In conclusion, Campfire Grill manifests a dining experience that's both delightful and engaging. With a diverse menu showcasing regional specialties and innovative twists, combined with a setting that encourages camaraderie, this restaurant offers something for everyone. Whether you're in for a casual outing or a special occasion, Campfire Grill is poised to become a cherished spot in your culinary repertoire.
“ First time and this place is awesome from food, drinks, dessert and service. Can't wait to go back. ”
“ We had Catfish, smashed potato, and green beans. Catfish, cucumber/ tomato salad, and roasted potatoes. Catfish was more crunchy than I am used to in the deep South, but was still excellent and tasty. Both potatoes were seasoned well and not overpowering. Green beans cooked well even though I like mine crunchy, they weren't overcooked. The salad was very well done as well. Everything was perfectly balanced with seasoning and doneness. Geneva E. was an outstanding hostess. But the piece de resistance was the dessert...The Flaming Campfire was OMG crazy good. Chocolate mousse over graham cracker marshmallow ice cream with raspberry sauce set on fire . OUTSTANDING!!!! Back again same great! ”
“ They have amazing mixed drinks although 12 dollars per drink is pretty pricy for the sizes of them. Nice atmosphere gets packed at times but food was great! Small portions on certain menu items and others were actually decent. ”
“ We are at the bar our server was very friendly and offered her suggestions for my meal. The pot pie she recommended was the best I've ever had. The corn bread was delicious followed by the drinking mountain momma. It was a perfect time to go before everyone got there. The portions were generous and I would highly recommend anyone to stop here. ”
“ First time, and we love it!! Husband ordered the ribeye steak med/rare and for a First time (in years) he got what he wanted!! It was just delicious excellent quality of meat! I ordered the pasta (chicken, mushrooms and broccoli over fettuccine) and it was delicious. Service was exceptional just amazing...definitely an incredible experience. ”
“ Went here to eat a late dinner on Sunday night. Service was fast and accurate. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The fried green tomatoes and skillet corn bread were both very good. We just got appetizers and a salad so can’t comment on the entrees. But the food we got was all very good. ”
“ Lovely food, prices, and people! I loved the presentation of the food, the flavors, options, and the decor in the restaurant. Their Christmas music selection was delightful, and the environment reflected the peaceful mountain lifestyle. Would go again! Food was great! The dumplings are more a Northern style than southern as a warning for true chicken and dumpling lovers. The onion soup, though not traditional french onion, has robust flavors and warming accents to help fill your belly. The hot coco was divine!!! Best part!!!! ”
“ Literally AMAZING! Get the S’more’s dessert drink! It’s so good! The pot pie 10/10 INCREDIBLE!!!! Savanah was great! Will be back! ”
